Fair Access
for the Deaf (FAD) is a sign language interpreter service and
American Sign
Language training resource. FAD began
simply in 1988 by
providing interpreters at the New York State Fair in
Syracuse.
It has since evolved to include over 80 interpreters throughout
New York State.
Since it is based in Syracuse, NY, most work ranges
throughout the Central NY region -
Watertown to Binghamton and Rochester to
Albany.
Travel outside that region can also be arranged.

FAD conducts classes in
American Sign Language at a variety of sites.
These range from beginning
sign language to more specialized topics
such as ASL grammar or interpreting
music.
On-site classes can also be arranged for groups at a business
location.
