Fair Access for the Deaf (FAD) is always at the New York State Fair in Syracuse, as it has been since 1988. The Fair runs for 12 days in late August thru Labor Day. FAD brings sign language interpreters from all over New York State.

Everyday many events are interpreted, including shows about stunt dog teams, sea lions, police dogs, cooking, scuba diving, rappelling, monkeys and other exotic animals. Children enjoy live stage shows and puppets.

All 2 pm and 8 pm shows at Chevrolet Court are interpreted with reserved seating in front.
This info is from 2011, but will give you an idea of what to expect in 2012.

the Horticulture Building, or maybe a health exhibit?
An interpreter is available everyday from noon - 6pm.
It's easy
..... just send a text message.

Events with interpreters have a sign with the FAD logo and
